- A short introduction in order to allow the class to feel more
at ease with us and to allow the class to greet each other. This
will allow for the session to run as smoothly as possible and ensure
that the class will be Comfortable with the workshop
- Discussion about the history of bboying (breaking) in which we
will ask the students questions. As well as this being important
in the fact that they will be learning about the bboying and hip
hop culture it is usually a good way to measure the class's experience
with bboying.
- Community Development
- A breaking based warm up to loosen up the class's muscles they
will use most during the workshop and get the cardiovascular system
sped up
- Teach the class a short routine that will contain the four elements
of bboying top rock, footwork, power moves and freezes. Depending
on the length of the workshop we may then lead the class in a different
routine giving them more room to be creative.
- At the end of the session we will usually end on a fun note perhaps
by splitting the class into two crews and having a mini battle.
This gives the class a chance to unwind and have fun with what
they have learnt.
- End in a cool down in order to allow the class's heart rates
and breathing to lower to a comfortable level.
